Job Purpose:
To develop, manage, and maintain the organization’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. Review, analyze, and modify the ERP system from time to time including coding, configuration, testing, and debugging to support Darwish Holding’s business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deep knowledge and understanding of Accounting.
- Expert knowledge in Oracle AP, AR, CM, FA, GL, expenses, Property Manager, and hands-on experience with daily bank remittance reconciliations.
- Good Analytical and debugging skills on complex sub-ledger Accountings setups;
- Perform periodic reconciliation activity and Debug accounting misclassifications entries from Inventory; Cost management, Order management sub-ledgers, etc.
- In addition, the consultant should be fully aware of reviewing trial balances, Accuracy on P&L reports, debugging customer hold/SOA, extraction of GL dumbs and periodic validation of accounting entries from retail POS system, other enhancements pertaining to IFRS accounting practices, etc.
- Experience in Property management, lease management, and debugging if there are any issues.
- Experience in Retail systems and daily reconciliation of POS transactions, E-commerce sales and implementing automated reports, etc.
- Deep understanding of OBIEE implementation and responding to customer queries and concerns promptly.
- Knowledge of the implementation of VAT will be an added advantage.
- Revise functional requirements with business units, periodically as required, and develop the technical specification.
- Analyze user specifications and requirements for ERP modules.
- Design, develop, record, and test all new code enhancements to existing ERP.
- Coordinate with end users for user acceptance and user sign-off before deployment of changes to the Production environment.
- Conduct software integration and external interface development.
- Provide support/resolution to user queries on defects/issues raised through the helpdesk.
- Manage external consultants (if required) on a project-by-project basis or technical assignments.
- Liaise with the Oracle support team, as required, to resolve product defects/issues/updates.
- Provide ERP program technical documentation verification and installation testing.
- Revise and update project documentation as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
- ITIL certifications will be an added advantage
- Oracle certifications
- Knowledge of financial terms and accounting procedures
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 3 years in ERP system programming
- Exposure to Oracle EBS preferred
- Ability to innovate and think out of the box
- Deep understanding and knowledge of ERP systems like Oracle, and SAP, software applications like Microsoft internet information services (IIS), Apache, and other web servers
- Fully conversant and up-to-date with current trends, developments, and global best practices in IT software and ERP technologies and architectures
- Experience in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures
- Excellent knowledge of overall project management methodologies & processes for execution and implementation of ERP and other software applications
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
